Annual Maxwell C Rice Memorial Tournament

We had to dodge a few raindrops but it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. We were the perfect hosts finishing out of the top four places with teams from Seaforth, Sarnia and Kitchener taking the top spots. Our team of Charles and Ros Macdonald along with Gail Christie took home the consolation prize. We had a great lunch, thanks again to Doug, Ann and Mark for preparing and serving lunch (and breakfast). Here are just a few photos.

District Novice Triples Hosted by Grand Cove

There were only two teams on the men's side so the winner advances to the Provincial Novice Triples in Kingston in two weeks. Our men's team won two straight despite being down 8-1 in the second game so they move on to Kingston. Our women's team were the only entry in District so they also move on to Kingston. Congrats to Gail Christie, Wilma Jilesen and Linda Beattie - District 4 Novice Triple Champs and on the men's side Andy Davis, Wayne Christie and Frank Beattie. Here are a few photos of the day.

It was another beautiful day for lawn bowling with 10 teams of three bowlers each. Eventually it was Wayne Christie, Linda Beattie and Maureen Garinther winning the championship. Here are some photos of the day. Thanks to our sponsor Home Hardware and all the volunteers who helped out.
